A new Toyota Supra Concept is expected at the Detroit Auto Show in January after Toyota published a photo of its new Sports Car Concept.

New Toyota Supra Concept first look – heading for Detroit 2014
A new Toyota Supra is something Toyota were planning before the world’s economy jumped off a cliff in 2008, but with the world running out of money – and fripperies like sports cars low on the priority list – Toyota swerved away from its plans to launch a new Supra.
The photo above is one released by Toyota of their offering for Gran Tursimo 6 which, you may reasonably think, is just another extreme one-off design like the Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo (although an intrepid US company is hoping to build five AMG Vision cars – possibly). But it seems not.
On Toyota’s official blog, Toyota say the Gran Turismo Concept is the ‘First glimpse of a new Toyota Sports Car‘ and, although they decline to confirm this is indeed a new Supra Concept, they do say ‘… there are familiar proportions in the shape of the silhouette…’
We take that as being as close as we’re going to get, for now, that there will be a new Toyota Supra Conept at Detroit next month, with plans to slot it in to Toyota’s production some time soon.
More when we get it.
