New Volvo XC60 film demonstrates the human side of Volvo’s safety technology
The new Volvo XC60 arrived with even more of Volvo’s safety technology, and now they demonstrate the human side of that technology in a new XC60 brand film.
No one would try and argue that Volvo aren’t serious about safety in their cars, with a long history of technology advances in safety systems for cars marking the Swedes out at leaders in the field.Volvo’s safety advances go all the way back to the 1950s with the arrival of the three-point safety belt, with other advances like rear-facing child seats, side-impact protection and whiplash protection all making Volvos one of the safest places to be on the road.
Not only do Volvo have a terrific track record on safety, with each new model the systems become cleverer and more seamless in their delivery, all on the road to Volvo’s aim of no fatalities in a Volvo before too long.
The new Volvo XC60 is no different to Volvo’s past models, delivering as it does more advances including a steer support functionality with Oncoming Lane Mitigation using steer assist to mitigate head-on collisions as well as steer assist added to BLIS too.
But as it’s easy to see all this technology as remote from real life, Volvo has commissioned a new film (below) to demonstrate what impact all this safety stuff has on a human level.
Using the strap line “Sometimes the moments that never happen matter the most”, Volvo’s film shows what life holds for a little girl as she grows up, which could all have been lost as she stepped in to the road were it not for Volvo’s clever safety stuff.
It hits the spot.
