Pininfarina Battista electric Hypercar reservations open
Reservations for the Pininfarina Battista – an electric hypercar from the re-born Pininfarina – open as Pininfarina appoints dealers.
The first tangible fruits of Mahindra and Mahindra’s acquisition of Pininfarina three years ago are soon to be public, with their first car – the Pininfarina Battista – due to debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. With styling by Pininfarina and much of the electric powertrain coming from Rimac, the Battista promises to be something properly exceptional, with 1900bhp of electric thrust promising a sub-2.0 second 0-62mph, 250mph and a range of 300 miles or so.
Ahead of the Battista’s public debut, Pininfarina has been busy sorting a network of dealer so those with exceptionally deep pockets have somewhere to call home for the new Pininfarina.
In the UK, that means HR Owen in London and Rybrook in Birmingham, with more dealers spread across Europe, North America and the Middle East and Asia as Pininfarina delivers 50 cars each to those regions (150 in total).
Michael Perschke, Automobili Pininfarina CEO, said:
We believe our retail specialists will become evangelists of the brand as they take on the privilege of caring for Pininfarina cars and clients. Initially, for the Battista’s 150 clients we’ll have 20 to 25 global touchpoints; as the Pininfarina range grows, we’ll add further retail specialists while still retaining exclusivity.
Not only has Pininfarina appointed the first of their dealers, they’ve also opened reservations for the Battista. So if you have the inclination, and the bank balance, you know what to do.
