The Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition arrives to top the Velar Range with an ‘SV’ makeover including 550bhp V8.
What you really need when you’re mired in woes is a new 550bhp V8 SUV, so goes the logic at JLR. So we’re getting the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition.
The recipe is quite straightforward; take the appealing-looking Range Rover velar – the Range Rover busy stealing sales from the Range Rover Sport – throw in a bit of ‘Autobiography’ luxury and a bit of ‘SV’ go faster and you have a sybaritic Velar with lots of get up and go.
The Autobiography bits means this new Velar is laden with goodies, and the ‘SV’ and ‘Dynamic’ bits deliver a 550bhp take on the venerable JLR Supercharged V8 which, say Land Rover, will get the Velar to 62mph in 4.5 seconds. In some comfort, of course.
Having endowed the Velar with more power than it’s ever had, Land Rover has sensibly fitted bigger, lighter brakes and discs (red calipers, naturally), with some brain tweaking of the eight-speed auto ‘box to better manage all that power as well as a stiffer setup for the air suspension and a bit of added butch to the exterior.
Land Rover want £86,120 for the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition.
