Renault Megane RS Trophy now on SALE in the UK

The Renault Megane RS Trophy is now on sale in the UK, with prices starting at £31,810 for the 296bhp Megane.

The Renault Megane RS Trophy is now on sale in the UK, and at £31,810 (for the manual) it’s a hefty £4k more than the regular RS, it does get plenty of goodies thrown in to make it appealing. Although it comes in at a few hundred quid more than the very appealing Civic Type R.

For your extra bucks you do bet more bang, with 19″ wheels, Cup chassis and bi-material (non-fade_ brakes all included in the price, as well as an extra 20bhp from the 1.8 litre turbo, an exhaust with valve linked to the drive modes and Trophy stripes on the front spoiler.

If you don’t fancy changing gears yourself, Renault will oblige with and automatic if you’re happy to stump up £33,510, and it’ll chuck in an extra 15lb/ft of torque too.

Renault say whichever version, manual or automatic, you choose, it will scoot to 62mph in 5.7 seconds; not a huge improvement on the regular RS (just a tenth) but it will doubtless feel livelier when you’re behind the wheel.

The new Megane RS Trophy goes on sale today (17 December) and Renault say first customer deliveries will be in February.
