Renault have sent us UK details for the Renault Twingo Gordini 133. It will cost £14,500 in the UK; there will only be 200 available and you can order from April.
It’s four months since we revealed that Renault were reviving the Gordini badge and a bit less since Renault confirmed and said they would be sticking the Gordini badge on the Twingo. And now we have official confirmation that the UK price will be £14,500 and that we get an allocation of just 200, so if you’re up for one you better get a shimmy on down to the Renault dealers when the order book opens on Thursday (1st April).
Based on the Twingo Renaultsport 133 the Gordini costs a smidge more than £2k extra. So what do you get for that £2k, apart from the historic Gordini paint job? Well for one thing you don’t have to have the blue paint job – you can also have it in black. Other goodies include racing stripes, white exterior trim finish and 17″ alloys with colour coded inner rims.
Inside you’ll get sports seats, lashings of leather and extra kit like Climate, auto lights and wipers, sliding rear seats, ESP you can actually turn off for more fun, cruise and privacy glass. You’ll also get the option of the Cup chassis if you want the Twingo to crash and bash even more. Other options include Gordini mats and key fob, electric roof and curtain airbags.
For us less than young drivers it’s nice to see Renault utilising the Gordini badge once more, and the Renault Twingo Gordini 133 certainly doesn’t dishonour the memory of road-going Gordinis – at least not in the looks department. Whether it will have any impact on younger buyers is debatable, but this is a well equipped Twingo that should sell well. Sadly, that’s the eco-point these days – no extra go, just more show.
More Gordinis soon. You can be sure.

Shit article. You havent even listed the most important specification CURB WEIGHT.
Sick of stupid media that are so easily dazzled by distractions that you cant even state the weight of a new model. I dont care if its got an MP3 player!
IT IS ALL PHYSICS!!

LOL. We aim to please!
We probably didn’t tell you the kerb weight because Renault didn’t tell us. We are in the process of publishing complete data – when it’s available – for all cars. But it’ll take a while.
Just so you know, the Kerb weight of the Renault Twingo RenaultSport 133 is 1049kg. The Gordini will be much the same.
