Skoda Karoq Sportline revealed
The Skoda Karoq Sportline has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show, where it will be joined by the Karoq Scout.
Earlier this week, the Skoda Karoq Scout was revealed as Skoda’s butch take on their smallest SUV, and now we get the Karoq Sportline as the ‘Sporty’ take on the Karoq, which will join the Scout for its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in the autumn. The Karoq gets a sporty makeover to live up to its Sportline badge, which means black 19″ alloys, a sporty body kit including new bumpers, Sportline logos, tinted windows and black roof rails.
Inside there’s black sports seats with silver stitching and Thermoflex fabric, leather multi-function steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and LED ambient lighting. There’s also a virtual cockpit (if you pay more) and a kick to open tailgate.
Engine choices include a 2.0 litre TSI petrol engine with 187bhp and the little 1.5 litre TSI with 148bhp, and a 2.0 litre diesel with either 187bhp or 148bhp.
The 2.0 litre petrol and more powerful 2.0 litre diesel come with four-wheel drive and 7-speed DSG gearbox as standard, with the 1.5 litre petrol and lower power diesel getting a 6-speed manual and front-wheel drive, with 4WD and DSG an option.
Both this Karoq Sportline and the new Karoq Scout are expected to go on sale very shortly after their public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.
