Skoda Octavia vRS 245 – Skoda’s MOST powerful vRS – hits the UK with prices from £27,595

The new Skoda Octavia vRS 245 hits the UK with prices from £27,595 as Skoda’s affordable sporty hatchback and estate go on sale in the UK.

The Skoda Octavia vRS 245 arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in the Spring, and it’s now hitting the UK as Skoda’s most powerful vRS model to date, and available as either a hatch or estate.

Despite concerns Skoda had forgotten it could produce good sporty versions of its cars as it obsesses over SUVs, the new Octavia vRS shows they haven’t, and this looks to be the best vRS to date, offering affordable sportiness in a practical package.

With an extra 15bhp over the regular Octavia vRS, the vRS 245 (with 242bhp) can hit 62mph in 6.6 seconds (6.7s for the Estate) from its 2.0 litre TSI, gets a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch ‘box, lower suspension, wider track, Dynamic Chassis Control and a limited slip diff.

Extra equipment over the regular vRS includes 19″ ‘Xtreme’ gloss black alloys, gloss black grille, mirrors and tailpipes, heated electric sports seats, Alcantara, gloss black trim and even a lap timer (no, you’ll probably never use it).

There’s also the same stuff the regular vRS gets, including Amundsen Sat Nav, 8″ infotainment with wi-fi, LED headlights and running lights, Adaptive lights, LED interior lighting and Super Sport steering wheel.

The 2017 Skoda Octavia vRS is now on sale at Skoda’s Uk dealers with prices from £27,595 for the Hatch (£1,3090 extra for the DSG version) and £28,795 for the Estate (DSG £1390).
