The Skoda VisionS Concept is teased in design sketches ahead of a debut at the Geneva Motor Show, previewing the new Kodiak SUV.
We recently had a tease from Skoda for Geneva promising ‘Something big is coming’, and this is it – the Skoda VisionS Concept.
The design sketches for the new Skoda SUV are undoubtedly infused with a little artistic licence to deliver a more dynamic look, but if you imagine the VisionS a little more stodgy than it seems you can see what the real car will look like.
That means a bold front end with swept back headlights and prominent Skoda grille, longish bonnet, a sloping roofline, big alloys and a back end with roof spoiler and twin oval tail pipes.
In terms of size, the VisionS is similar in size to cars like the Hyundai Santa Fe, a car Skoda will have firmly in its sights when the production model arrives as the Skoda Kodiak (probably – the Kodiak name isn’t official).
When the production version of the VisionS arrives – probably at Paris in the autumn – it’s expected to offer three-row seating, a range of four-cylinder petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains and the option of front-wheel and four-wheel drive.
