The 2014 facelift for the Skoda Yeti, Skoda’s family SUV, was revealed in August ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and with new models comes new prices and specifications.
But the differences between the two don’t mean a price differential; the Yeti and Yeti Outdoor cost the same on a like for like basis, although the 4×4 versions are only available in the Yeti Outdoor – complete with a new fifth-generation Haldex Clucth 4×4 – for a price premium.
The Yeti range starts with the Yeti S 1.2 TSI 105PS at £16,600 and tops out at the Yeti Outdoor L&K 2.0 TDI 140PS 4×4 DSG at £27,050, with three trim levels – S, SE and Elegance – available across both the Yeti and Yeti Outdoor, with the Outdoor also getting a range-topping L&K trim level.
Engines on offer include the aforementioned 1.2 TSI and 2.0 CDI with the 1.6 TDI, 1,8 TSI and three versions of the 2.0 TDI – 110PS, 140PS and 170PS – available. There’s also the option of manual or DSG ‘boxes and GreenLine versions too.
Equipment level is decent even on the entry-level S models, with 16″ alloys, running lights, electric heated dopor mirrors, electric windows, fogs, height adjustable front seats, AirCon and a CD player all included, with the Outdoor versions adding different alloys, silver door mirrors and butch cladding.
The Yeti SE adds in stuff like 17″ alloys, better sound, Cruise, dual-zone AirCon, headlight washers and rear parking sensors and the Elegance adds Bi-xenon headlights with cornering, electric folding mirrors, Leather, heated front seats, hill hold, LED running lights and auto wipers.
The Laurin & Klement trim option – only available on the Yeti Outdoor and only with the 1.8 TSI or 2.0 TDR with 140 or 170PS – offers more still, with special 17″ alloys, chrome ledge on the side mouldings, brown leather front armrest, Columbus SatNav, Piano Black inserts (with L&K Logo), brown leather with L&K logos, heated windscreen, Park Assist and Panoramic sunroof.
The 2014 Skoda Yeti Facelift is now on sale in the UK with first deliveries expected in January 2014.

Like all VW group upgrades it is a case of spot the difference. Apart from the round spots (which at least gave the Yeti a bit of individuality) there seems to be little change. It begs the question – Why did they bother?
