SsangYong have been on a bit of a mission to place the Korando as a perfect budget offering in the burgeoning Compact SUV market since it arrived in 2011.
The facelift means a new grill, new headlights with LED driving lights, bigger air intake at the front, new lights at the back, new colours – Sunrise red, Cosmic blue and Carbonic grey – and some new wheels designs.
Inside, SsangYong has revised the dashboard with some more tactile plastics and a bit of wood trim, some better cupholders and, say SsangYong, big improvements in NVH levels.
Engine options remain the same, which means a 2.0 litre diesel with 147bhp as the starting point and a 173bhp version if you move up the range, with the option of a six-speed manual or auto ‘box.
The 2014 Ssangyong Korando is now on sale from £14,995 for the 2.0 SE 2WD rising to £21,495 for the Korando 2.0 ELX4 4WD Auto.
