Adam Carolla’s Lamborghini 350 GT – helping pay for Paul Newman’s Porsche
A collection of five Lamborghinis, including two Miuras, is up for sale by Adam Carolla to raise funds to pay for a Porsche 935 raced by Paul Newman.
The name Adam Carolla may not resonate much on this side of the Pond, but he’s a pretty successful comedian and writer from Tinseltown, and host of an eponymous podcast judged the most downloaded by Guinness World Records. So he’s worth a few bob. That’s meant he, as a self confessed petrolhead, has been able to acquire umpteen desirable cars as the money from his career rolled in, with more than 40 cars lined up at home to sate his car lust.
But however many cars you have, there’s always one you ‘must have’, even if it’s a bit out of reach. For Carolla, that was a Le Mans spec 1979 Porsche 935 driven by Paul Newman at Le Mans, and he dropped around £3.75 million on the car at Gooding’s Monterey auction in August.
Now, having realised what his passion has done, he’s in the process of selling five very desirable Lamborghinis in an attempt to raise the money he’s had to fork out for the Porsche.
The Lamborghinis – all before Lamborghini became more interested in extreme looks rather than classic form – are an appealing snapshot of the best of 1960s Lambo.

If Carolla gets what he’s asking, the five Lamborghinis will pay the bill for the Paul Newman Porsche. It’s all down to taste, but for our money the Lamborghinis would be a keeper.
