Subaru XV Crossover gets even more added refinement
The Subaru XV Crossover has been given a refinement makeover for 2015, with improved quality and technology, improved NVH and chassis refinement.
We get the feeling that the Subaru XV Crossover is a car Subaru really don’t know where to pitch, with price and model changes – and added refinements – being made to help sales along.Subaru launched the XV in 2012 in the UK, but in 2013 it first cut the price of the petrol XV and then followed that up shortly after with a £2,300 price cut across the XV range.
Less than a year later, Subaru were busy rationalising the XV range whilst at the same time adding refinement, and now – another year on – Subaru has decided to give the XV yet another refinement boost.
Under the skin, Subaru claim to have major changes to the XV’s suspension, with new dampers and revised spring rates, quicker steering, more soundproofing and thicker glass to help dynamics and reduce noise.
Inside, there’s improved materials on offer, a new instrument binnacle, piano black highlights, enhanced Infotainment, Sat Nav and Sound, rear view camera and a general more upmarket feel.
Despite the added refinements, the price hasn’t changed – it starts at £21,995 for the XV 2.0i SE rising to £25,995 for the XV 2.0D SE Premium – with five years warranty and three years free servicing included. You can even have a £1k deposit contribution from Subaru UK. All of which makes the Subaru XV quite an appealing buy.
Although you could wait another year and you’ll probably get even more refinement and lower prices.
