Talacrest boss grabs £20 million classic SUPERCAR collection

Talacrest boss John Collins has snapped up a collection of 27 classic supercars – including 11 Ferraris – from a private collector in a deal worth £20 million.

Some car collectors have a very high profile, and some keep their car gems hidden.

And the owner of a collection of 27 classic supercars was very much in the latter category, with even well-connected Talacrest boss John Collins not knowing the collection existed until he was asked if he wanted to buy it.

But once John knew it was up for grabs, he couldn’t resist jumping in and stumping up £20 million to grab a collection he should see a healthy return on.

The 27 cars – and John has already sold ten of them just a week after buying them – includes some exceptional, low-mileage metal from the most desirable of car makers.

The collection includes a 1982 Lamborghini LP500 S with just 500 miles, a 1991 Ferrari Testarossa with just 1788 miles and a 1965 Jaguar E-type that’s done just 2605 miles.

The 11 Ferraris alone should see Talacrest getting back a big chunk of their £20 million investment, and the Porsche 959 and Carrera GT, Aston Martin DB4 Zagato Sanction II, DB5 and DB6 won’t come cheap either.
