This is the NEW Vauxhall Corsa
The new Vauxhall Corsa (well, the Opel Corsa, to be precise) has leaked out online a bit earlier than Vauxhall planned.
Vauxhall has been busy recently bigging-up the new Corsa ahead of a reveal, with a set of ‘official’ spy shots of the Corsa, and a tease for its adaptive LED headlights and electrification. But now, and very much not Vauxhall’s doing, the new Corsa has arrived on view thanks to an online leak.
Underpinned by a new platform largely borrowed from the Peugeot 208, the new Corsa is a big deal for Vauxhall as it delivers a PSA car for the first time. And we have to say it does look pretty good.
The new Corsa is a more rounded design and actually looks like a car from the segment above with its posh headlights and sculptured flans, and the interior will be a lot more ‘Peugeot’ too. which is no bad thing.
But the big deal for the new Corsa – apart from its new look and platform – is that there’s going to be an electric Corsa selling alongside the usual petrol and diesel-engined models.
There’s no information yet on what the Corsa E will offer, but something around a 50kWh capacity seems likely, and a range of over 200 miles.
With photos now leaked of the new Corsa, expect an official reveal – and some real details – shortly.
