Toyota Auris Touring Sports: Price from £15,595

The new Toyota Auris Touring Sports – the Auris Estate – will start from £15,595 for the Active 1.33-litre Dual VVT-i rising to £22,845 for the Excel Hybrid.

Last week we had some basic specifications arrive for the new Toyota Auris Touring Sports – mainly its load-lugging capacity – but no real detail about trim levels or price. But now Toyota has put that right.

The new Auris Estate will start at £15,595 for the Active 1.33-litre Dual VVT-i and top out at £22,845 for the Excel 1.8 Hybrid Synergy Drive with CVT box, and in between will be two other engine choices – 1.4 D-4D and 1.6 Valvematic – and a total of four trim levels – Active, Icon, Sport and Excel.

The trim levels mirror those on the Auris hatch, so the Active trim gets Climate, Hill Start, roof rails and 15″ steel wheels, with the Icon trim adding 16″ alloys, Fogs, Touchscreen Infotainment with Bluetooth, DAB and rear view camera.

Move upwards to the Sport trim on the Auris Touring and you’ll get 17″ alloys, a sports grill, rear diffuser, privacy glass and sports seats in the front, and the range-topping Excel trim throws more toys at the Auris Touring with Auto lights and wipers, Power fold mirrors, black velour trim with leather bolsters, Dual zone Climate, Keyless, Intelligent park and Cruise.

Toyota has a set of add-on packs for the Auris Touring Sports, with Touch & Go SatNav available on Icon, Sport and Excel for £650, Intelligent Park on Icon and Sports for £350 and a Comfort Pack – which adds stuff like Auto lights and wipers, Keyless and power mirrors – available on the Icon and Sport trim for an extra £550. You can also add in a Skyview panoramic roof on any model for £550.

The 1.33 Dual VVT-i is available in Active and Icon trim, the 1.4 D-4D in all four trim levels, the 1.6 Valvematic in Icon, Sport and Excel and the Hybrid Auris Tourer in just Icon and Excel trim.

The new Toyota Auris Touring Sports goes on sale in the UK in the summer. Looks a decent offering.
