Toyota Hilux Invincible X range-topping pick-up gets a 2019 update
The Toyota Hilux Invincible X – Toyota’s range-topping pick-up – gets an update for 2019 and goes on sale in the UK in August.
If you want an ‘Invincible’ Toyota pick-up in the UK because you’re a farmer, or a fencer, or a roofer or any of a number of trades that need a workhorse they can trust to do what they need and not let them down, then you can get a Hilux from as little as £24k.But if you’re doing what many business owners do and grabbing a Hilux not just because of its rock solid reputation but because it saves you a shed-load of cash compared to an SUV, then you’ll be spending a chunk more – up to £40k.
And if you’re happy to spend that sort of money of a range-topping Toyota pick-up, then your options just improved with a new Hilux Invincible X, due to be revealed at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC next week.
The 2019 cosmetic titivations for the Hilux X include a grey smoked finish for the upper grille surround, fog lamp bezels, handles, mirrors, under-runs and rear bumper corners, and new 18″ alloys with a matching two-tone finish.
Inside it’s an all-black theme but with chrome detailing on the instrument panel, piano black inserts, white background for the instrument binnacle, TFT multi-info display and a posh key with a sketch of the front of the Hilux on it.
The Invincible X also gets an enhanced Toyota Safety Sense Package (as does the whole 2019 Hilux range) including Pre-Collision, Adaptive Cruise, Road Sign Assist and Lane Departure.
Toyota say the revised Invincible X will go on sale in August, along with the rest of the 2019 Hilux range.
