Volvo C70 Facelift (2010)

The Volvo C70 has had a facelift for 2010 and will launch at Frankfurt

The last news we had on the Volvo C70 was a Limited Edition Ice White version, launched in the Spring to hoover up a few 4-seat drop-top sales in the Summer. But Volvo has decided the C70 needs more than a limited edition, and the first pictures of the facelifted C70 for 2010 have found their way out of Sweden.

The most obvious change to the C70 is the nose, which has been redisigned and appears to take its styling cues from the Volvo S60 Concept we saw prior to Detroit. The V70 gets new front wings, a re-shaped bonnet, new swoopy lights and a new front bumper with a wider grill. It gives the V70 more road presence. There is now a distinct ‘V’ shape to the front end.

Round the back Volvo has put a bigger ‘Volvo’ badge on the boot, restyled the bumper and added LED lights to make the V70 more contemporary. On the inside it looks like the V70 gets a new instrument panel, and the leather upholstery has been upgraded.

Engine line-up is likely to remain the same, with the range topping out at the 227bhp T5 version.

Now these details are out in the open, Volvo will no doubt get on with it and release full details. We do know the facelifted V70 will launch at Frankfurt in a couple of weeks before going on sale in the early New Year.
