The new (2014) Range Rover Sport will debut on 26th March 2013 at the New York Auto Show according to an invite Cars UK has received.
Pictured above is an invitation from Land Rover to one of our readers inviting them to ‘…attend the exclusive premier of a dramatic new product from Land Rover’. It can only be the new Range Rover Sport.
With the spy photos of the new Range Rover Sport turning up in ever increasing numbers – and with less and less disguise – we were sure the New York Auto Show would see the 2013 Range Rover’s sporty sibling bow in. The invitation from Ralph Speth makes that clear.
With looks that seem to be the result of a clandestine assignation between the new Range Rover and the Evoque, the new Range Rover Sport, carrying less weight and with far more dynamism, should finally be able take on cars like the BMW X5 and the Porsche Cayenne on-road, as well as showing them how it’s done off-road.
With at least the 3.0 litre diesel and 5.0 litre Supercharged on offer for the UK and Europe (and the new 3.0 litre Supercharged for the US and petrol loving markets) we’re also hoping Land Rover has seen fit to finally give the Range Rover Sport the 4.4 litre V8 diesel as well for a proper ‘cake and have it’ Range Rover Sport.

You don’t KNOW the new Range Rover Sport is arriving at the New York, you’re assuming. It could be the bigger Evoque or the Evoqie with the new super charged engine?

It could be anything, but the New York Auto Show has history with Land Rover. Course it’s the new Sport!
