The Subaru WRX Concept – previewing the 2014 WRX – will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and could be coming to the UK.

Subaru in the UK had decided that their future lay with eco cars, crossovers and other fluffy-bunny models instead of with budget supercars like the WRX.
Subaru has revealed that the WRX Concept will get its European debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and that it could be heading for the UK after all.
With proper WRX looks, a bit of extra width and sitting lower than the current (discounted) WRX, the new WRX looks a promising car for those who love to play with extreme Japanese performance at an (almost) affordable price, with the bigger bulge in the bonnet promising power in the region of 325bhp channelled through all four wheels when it arrives in 2014.
And an arrival in the UK now looks highly likely, with Subaru UK saying:
The old model is now sold out and the decision was taken earlier this year not to import further volumes. The new-for-2014 Subaru WRX production car, while not confirmed for the UK market, is under consideration.
Changing market conditions has allowed Subaru UK to re-examine the feasibility of bringing the new car into Britain.
We think you can take that as confirmation the 2014 Subaru WRX will be on sale in the UK.
