The 2015 Skoda Superb Estate (Combi) has been revealed, ahead of going on sale in June and arriving with customers in September, soon after the new Superb Hatch.
It’s only a couple of months since the new Skoda Superb Hatch arrived, and Skoda is now extending the appeal with the arrival of the new Combi – the 2015 Skoda Superb Estate.
It looks like the first public outing for the new Superb Estate will be at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, with the new Estate due to arrive in the UK the same month.
Although the Estate is more or less identical to the Hatch at the front, the back presents a cavernous space of 1950 litres with the seats down, and an equally impressive 600 litre when the seats are in place. Despite the increase in load space, Skoda has managed to disguise the big shed bolted on the back very well, with the new model looking far more elegant than the old.
Under the bonnet it’s pretty much the same offerings as the Hatch for the new Estate, which will mean a range of diesel units offering from a bit over 115bhp up to nearly 190bhp and a petrol range including a 148bhp 1.4 litre Turbo and a pair of 2.0 litre turbos. There will also be four wheel drive options.
Skoda are still being a little reticent about prices and specs, but despite that the Superb Estate goes on sale in Skoda’s UK dealer next month (June 2015), when buyers can expect to pay around £1250 more than they would for an equivalent hatch. Which means you might be able to get one for a whisker under £20k.
We’ll update with full prices and specs for the 2015 Skoda Superb Estate as soon as Skoda UK has finished playing with their abacus.
