The finalists for the World Car of the Year award are the Audi A4, Mazda MX-5 and Mercedes GLC. The winner will be revealed at the New York Motor Show.
Arguably, the most significant awards for ‘Car of the Year’ gongs come from the World Car of the Year Awards, the winners of which will be announced at the New York Motor Show later this month.Ahead of that announcement, the voting panel has whittled the list down to just three finalists, but it’s more than just three cars up for a gong as the awards are not just for World Car of the Year, but for World Luxury Car of the Year, World Performance Car of the Year, World Green Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year as well.
That means a total of fifteen different cars vying for one of the gongs on offer, and as usual it’s quite hard to see exactly why some of the cars have made the list at all.
