2018 BMW M5 LEAKS ahead of BMW’s planned reveal
The 2018 BMW M5 has leaked online in a video published by a Chinese website, showing full details of the new M5 inside and out ahead of its official debut.
The new BMW M5 is supposed to be officially revealed later today, but BMW has had the wind taken out of their reveal with a video published by a Chinese website showing the new M5 in all its glory (below). What the video does show is a quite restrained M5, with the latest 5 Series styling enhanced with a front end sporting big air-gulping intakes, bigger wheel arches, front wing vents, big quad exhausts, rear diffuser and black carbon fibre highlights.
Inside is restrained too, with the very good 5 Series interior given just a few tweaks (including sport gear shift, including a new screen for the drive modes.
They make it clear the M5 is 4WD car with BMW’s xDrive, but that it will also get a RWD setting so you can go and play in a purer way when fun is more important than traction.
Under the bonnet will be BMW’s 4.4 litre V8, and it’s believed it will come with at least 615bhp, enough for a 0-62mph in under 3.5 seconds, although there are rumours it could be goof doer a lot more.
Full details when BMW officially reveal the new M5 later today.
