Audi Q3 price and specifications revealed for the UK

Audi has revealed that the Audi Q3 will start at £24,560 in the UK for the 2.0 litre diesel , 2WD SE manual when deliveries start in the UK in November 2011.

Audi’s baby Q – the Audi Q3 – has been a long time coming, but with UK orders opening up next month (June 2011) Audi has revealed prices and specs for the Q3 in the UK.

Starting point will be £24,560 for the 2.0 litre TDI SE (the boring-looking Audis no one buys) with manual ‘box, rising to £31,360 for the 2.0 litre TFSI Quattro S Line with 7-Speed S-Tronic ‘box.

Four engines will be available at launch – well, two engines each with two different power outputs. The 2.0 litre TFSI comes as either a 168bhp (with 6-speed manual) or 208bhp (with 7-speed S-Tronic). The 2.0 litre TDI oil burner is also available in two flavours, 138bhp and FWD with a manual ‘box (and 54.3mpg) or 175bhp quattro with the S-Tronic ‘box.

Equipment levels seem fairly decent, with even the entry-level SE getting 17″ alloys, Stop-Start, Bluetooth, auto lights and wipers, parking sensors and Climate.

Move up to the S Line and the kit doesn’t really get much better, it just looks better (and ups the price by £2,750). You can add in stuff like bigger alloys (18″), Sports Seats, full body coloured paint job, Xenons with LED running lights and lots of S Line badges. You can also, if you wish and you’re on good terms with your chiropractor, opt for S Line Sports suspension as a no cost option.

Audi hasn’t yet managed to make up prices for the options, but they will be at the ‘quality’ end of the cost spectrum. That said, and despite the Q3 being the baby, expect plenty of grow-up options like steerable adaptive lights, HDD SatNav, Blind Spot Monitor Park Assist and Lane Assist. You can even stitch Google Earth in to the SatNav.

First deliveries are planned for November, although you’ll have to wait until December if you order the pauper’s 2WD edition.
