A facelift for the Ford Focus ST will make its first appearance at this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, including a new diesel ST.

The new Ford Focus ST teased
The tease for the Ford ST facelift has started, with Ford releasing a single image (above) of the new ST which will be on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week, taking to the Goodwood Hillclimb in the ‘First Glance’ category.
Ford is being coy about any power updates for the new ST, but it seems likely it will stick with the same 247bhp 2.0 litre as the current model and the same output.
What Ford will be trumpeting at Goodwood is the arrival of a diesel version of the ST.
No details are officially forthcoming about what will power the diesel ST, but the most likely candidate is the 2.0 litre TDCI with something in the region of 185bhp.
Visitors to Goodwood will be able to watch a ‘designated gamer’ take control of the new Focus ST on Gran Turismo 6 as it competes against former Stig Ben Collins in a real ST on the hillclimb. Visitors will also be able to try their hand at the new ST on Gran Turismo simulators.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed starts on Thursday with the Moving Motor Show and continues through to Sunday 29th.
