Top Gear Tonight: LaFerrari, Peugeot, Porsche Cayman GTS, Corvette & Olly Murs

February 22, 2015 By Cars UK

Top Gear tonight – Series 22 Episode 5 – has James in LaFerrari, a history of Peugeot, Richard with the Porsche Cayman GTS and Corvette and SIARPC Olly Murs.

James May gets to grips with LaFerrari on tonight’s Top Gear

Last week’s Top Gear was a proper, all cars Top Gear episode, a complete contrast to the mucking around with ambulances the week before. Tonight’s episode looks to be a bit of both.

The petrolhead highlight is Ferrari’s new hypercar in the hands of James May, with Captain Slow taking the very potent LaFerrari for a spin in Italy and, back in the studio, we see LaFerrari sat alongside the Porsche 918 and the McLaren P1. Sadly, they won’t be battling each other for a Top Gear lap time.

Richard is out playing too, this time with the new Porsche Cayman GTS and the Chevrolet Corvette on the Top Gear track to see which is the stand out car. Which could be a bit of a dilemma for Hammond, with his love of both Porsche and American muscle.

The ‘feature’ piece this week is a history of Peugeot – not really one of Top Gear’s favourite brands (or at least not anything post the 205 GTI) – where we’re told to expect artillery fire, corsets and classic hatchbacks.

Star in a Reasonably Priced Car this week is the convivial Olly Murs.

Top Gear – Series 22 Episode 5 – is on BBC2 tonight (22 February 2015) at 8pm UK time.

My wife and I loved our Peugot 505turbo 1986. The ride was very smooth and those seats did not make your back hurt! The negative side was Peugot usef a ZF transmission witch blew up every 50000 miles! These same transmissions were shared in BMW, and Volvo! Maybe one day
Peugot will return to the US!
