Skoda Fabia gets a bit of a facelift for 2018
The Skoda Fabia gets a facelift for 2018 – with a public debt at the Geneva Motor Show – with cosmetic and equipment tweaks but only a 1.0 litre three-cylinder engine option.
The front and back end and lights are the usual suspects, and these get a tweak including LED headlights and LED tail lights, with new alloy wheels – up to 18″ – available too, a new instrument cluster, two-tone seats and some new trim strips for the dash.
Engine options for the 2018 Fabia are limited to just the 1.0 litre three-cylinder petrol, but there is a choice of engine outputs with the MPI engines offering 60bhp or 75bhp and the TSI 95bhp or 110bhp, with the 110bhp available with a DSG gearbox.
New technology on offer include Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Traffic Alert and Light Assist (auto dipping), with the Swing Infotainment getting a 6.5″ screen and a full range of Skoda Connect Systems, Sdat Nav is an option as is Smartlink with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Skoda are also pushing more ‘Simply Clever’ additions like an ice scraper located in the fuel filler flap which now acts as a tyre tread depth gauge too, USB ports for the back seats and a double sided boot mat.
The 2018 Skoda Fabia will get its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month and arrive in the UK in the second half of the year.
