New Audi Q8 STILL being teased
The Audi Q8 – Audi’s new range-topping SUV – continues its tease ahead of reveal as a production model, which is now just a week away of 5 June 2018.
We do find it a bit odd when car makers goes to great lengths to tease a new car which has already been seen as a concept, especially when the production car ends up looking almost exactly the same as the concept. And that, it would seem, is exactly what’s going on with the new Audi Q8.
Seen as a concept at the start of 2017, the Audi Q8 is a range-topping SUV from Audi sharing its platform with the Q7 (and, for that matter, the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus), and has been seen blatting round the Nurburgring in disguise, but a disguise which didn’t hide the fact that nothing much will change from Concept to Production.
Now Audi are working up to an official Q8 reveal on 5 June with another tease sketch of the Q8 (above) which could easily be a teaser sketch for the concept version. So it still looks like nothing much is going to change.
But it’s not just this tease for the new Q8, as we had a tease ahead of Beijing too, since when Audi has revealed a sketch of the back end of the Q8 (we didn’t even bother reporting that) and they are in the middle of a five video, yes, five video, tease for the Q8. Which, so far, has revealed nothing new so we left those alone too.
The best bet is to wait until next week and you can judge for yourself how much Audi will change the Q8 from Concept to Production.
