What will the next Hyundai Tucson look like? Take a look at the Hyundai Vision T Concept

The Hyundai Vision T Concept is revealed at the Los Angeles Motor Show as a look at a future plug-in hybrid SUV, probably a replacement for the Hyundai Tucson.

We had a tease for the Hyundai Vision T Concept last week as Hyundai acknowledged the arrival of a new plug-in hybrid concept for the Los Angeles Motor Show, and here it is – the Hyundai Vision T Concept.

Hyundai delivered the Hyundai 45 Concept a couple of months ago as something of a pointer to a future electric SUV, but the Vision T Concept looks like it’s pointing at something new and more mainstream – the next Hyundai Tucson.

Hyundai hasn’t been exactly forthcoming about the Vision T, preferring to rely on flowery prose to convey its intent, with talk of a “Sensuous Sportiness design principle”, “the cutting edge of the most dynamic SUV designs” and “new urban adventurer SUV design direction”.

They are happy to tell us that the Vision T is 181.5″ long – which makes it a bit bigger than the Tucson and a bit smaller than the Santa Fe – but then disappear back in to the flowery prose with “Parametric Fantasy and Transcendent Connectivity…free from distinct design boundaries”. Oh, well.

We did manage to garner from the gobbledegook that the Vision T has a grille with shutters that open in a set sequence as the car moves off to optimise air flow, and it has a patterned glass roof. Oh, and it’s a plug-in hybrid.

But, despite the lack of any detail, the Vision T is probably a first look at the next generation Hyundai Tucson.
