Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster Pebble Beach debut

The new Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster will get its world debut at Pebble Beach this month alongside the Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo.

With Pebble Beach looming this month we’ll be getting plenty of high-end debuts and expensive four-wheeled works of art art to drool over.

We’ve already had the news that Jaguar Land Rover will be debuting 3 cars from the new Special Operations Division – the Range Rover Sport SVR, Jaguar F-Type Project 7 and Jaguar Lightweight E-Type – and now we learn Aston Martin will have a couple of treats for Pebble visitors too.

The debut of the Aston Martin you can buy at Pebble will be the new Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster.

The V12 Vantage S Roadster was revealed just a couple of weeks ago and brings open-topped motoring to the quickest serial production car Aston Martin currently makes.

That means Aston’s 5.9 litre V12 tuned to deliver 565bhp and 457lb/ft of torque, enough to get the soft-top V12 Vantage S to 60 mph in under 4 seconds and on to a top speed of over 200mph.

And sitting alongside the new V12 Vantage S Roadster – at least for VIP guests – will be the Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo, Aston’s creation for the virtual world of Gran Turismo 6.

Despite the DP-100 being for the virtual world, Aston has endowed it with an 800bhp V12 sitting amidships, fully functioning suspension and state of the art electronics, so although you won’t be able to buy a DP-100 you will be able to imagine it sat in your garage.

Aston Martin will be hosting its cars – and specially invited guests – at the Aston Martin Estate, situated high above Carmel with panoramic views across the Monterey Bay creating the perfect atmosphere and environment for the beautiful Astons on show.
