Bentley Bentayga – Bentley’s new SUV – has been revealed ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show thanks to a die-cast model from China.
The Bentley Bentayga SUV has been coming in to focus recently ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September thanks to a number of teases from Bentley.
They’ve included the Bentayga showing it can go off-road, the Bentayga looking a bit like a fish out of water at the Nurburgring and even Bentley’s new W12 engine that looks set to debut in the Bentayga. But now we get a full reveal, albeit in miniature.
It would appear that the photo above (and more on Car News China) show the Bentayga in all its un-camouflaged glory thanks to China’s model makers, with photos of the Bentayga as a die-cast model, presumablya model made for the launch.
The Bentayga model shows us a big SUV with lots of design cues – front and back – from the Continental GT/Flying Spur, big shiny alloys, roof rails, lots of chrome, a double panoramic roof, air vents on the front wings and a tailgate spoiler.
What we don’t see is what’s under the skin, but we know the Bentayga is built on the same platform as the new Audi Q7 and that it will get the new W12 engine, the V8 and probably a diesel and hybrid somewhere down the road too.
It’s a bit more blingy than we’d expected, but perhaps that suits the Bentayga’s target market?
