Can you spend £100,000 on a new Land Rover Defender
With the new Land Rover Defender now officially revealed, Land Rover has launched the configurator for the new Defender. And you can spend quite a lot.
Land Rover has finally managed to reveal the new Defender this week at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it’s already on sale. Well, the Defender 110 is, with the 90 models (and, at some point, the 130 too) still to follow. With that knowledge, you won’t be surprised that Land Rover has wasted no time putting up the new Land Rover Defender configurator so you can go and play to spec your Defender perfectly.
Of course, apart from speccing up what is your ideal Defender, you’ll probably do what everyone else does and see just how much you could spend if you went completely daft, and the answer is: over £100,000.
That’s a long way up from the headline starting price of around £45k, but you get a long way to the £100k target by simply opting for the new Land Rover Defender X, which puts your staring price up to almost £79k.
Then you can make a start on engines, but if you opt for the Defender X then it’s currently Hobson’s choice with the P400 mild hybrid petrol, followed by Specification Packs (the Explorer Pack, for example, costs £3,418), then you can add Satin Protective Film for another £3k, Privacy Glass, Towing stuff and wheel and roof options.
By the time you’ve made your way through Interior stuff and accessories you’ll be up to over £100k if you choose.
Now, go and play for yourself.
