A one-off Ferrari from Ferrari Special Operations – the Ferrari SP FFX – has been revealed at a private event in Japan. It’s based on the Ferrari FF.

The one-off Ferrari SP FFX – complete with white fringe and coupe roof.
Ferrari Special Operations is the division of Ferrari that relieves very well-heeled punters of vast quantities of cash to create one-off specials – just like Eric Clapton’s Ferrari SP12 EC.
As far as we can tell, the SP FFX is a coupe version of the Ferrari FF, so it should come with Ferrari’s four wheel drive and 651bhp V12 engine.
But the FFX bit of its name suggest the SP FFX has been built to be a track-day special, so it could be that Ferrari has given it more power and removed the four wheel drive. But we don’t know.
But from what we can see, the SP FFX isn’t exactly a looker.
The Coupe roofline – at least in the photo above – looks rather incongruous, and even though it gets a Ferrari red paint job its white fringe looks like it’s run through a puddle of whitewash on its way to the reveal.
Still, if you have deep enough pockets you can have what you want, and you probably don’t care much what others think.
