With the Fiat 500X – a 500 Crossover based on the Jeep renegade – due to debut at the Paris Motor Show next week, Fiat are teasing its arrival with a new video.

Fiat 500X Crossover teased on video – debuts at Paris Motor Show
Just like MINI, Fiat has taken the retro-revival of the 500 way beyond the original, and now the latest take on the 500, and Fiat’s answer to the All4 MINI Countryman, is about to arrive – the Fiat 500X.
Frankly, the video tease Fiat has released doesn’t show as much as the leaked photo, but instead focuses on teasing the 500X’s detail in between shots of a young woman playing on a swing. And no, we’re not sure what the ‘message’ is either.
What we do know is that the 500X will be built on the same underpinnings as the Jeep renegade and will come with a choice of both front-wheel and rear-wheel-drive, with a selection of engines that will probably mimic those in the 500L, including the 1.6 litre MultiJet (which will probably be the main seller.
The 500X will be revealed in Paris next week (although we’ll probably get more detail before then) and is entering a tough market sector which include the Countryman, Nissan Juke, Renault Captur and the new Honda HR-V.
