Land Rover are teasing a new, ultra luxury Range Rover for the 2015 New York Motor Show, probably the first luxury Special Vehicle Operations offering.
With the 2015 New York Motor Show looming, car makers are starting to tease new offerings, and Land Rover are out of the gate with a teaser photo (below) of a new, range-topping and ultra luxury Range Rover.
Land Rover are not divulging anything about their new offering, but we could have found the first photo of the Range Rover SVO (above) thanks to Simon Gregg, owner of Bramley, who managed to snap what could well be the new Range Rover SVO last month.
The rumour mill suggests that the new Range Rover SVO – the first luxury car from JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations – will come with the same 5.0 litre V8 supercharged engine as the Range Rover Sport SVR, but that it will major on luxury rather than outright performance.
That luxury will doubtless encompass everything from endless technology to luxury materials, and it clearly includes a custom two-tone paint job and quad exhausts.
Just how much Land Rover will want for the RR SVO we don’t yet know, but with the Range Rover Autobiography Black LWB costing close to £150k, you can probably expect the new Range Rover SVO to be heading towards £200,000.
Which is an awful lot of money for a Range Rover.

Looks like Land Rover are trying to set the bar high before the Bentley Bentayga arrives!
