Jaguar E-Pace SUV caught on video at Nurburgring
The new Jaguar E-Pace – Jaguar’s smaller SUV – has been caught on video testing at the Nurburgring ahead of an expected debut simmer 2017.
The arrival of the Jaguar E-Pac e as a smaller sibling for the Jaguar F-Pace is getting closer, and for Jaguar sales that can’t come a moment too soon.Last month we caught Jaguar out with the new E-Pace doing some cold weather testing, and now we get it pounding round the Nurburgring to make sure it delivers Jaguar levels of handling and dynamics.
Effectively Jaguar’s rake on the Range Rover Evoque – but with more road-focus – this Jaguar SUV will be hunting down rivals like the Audi Q3 before 2017 is out.
In terms of looks we’re still guessing a bit with its swirly camouflage, but it does look like it is going to be very much a compact F-Pace in looks, which is probably very wise as the F-Pace has been so successful.
Initially expected to come with Jaguar’s 2.0 litre petrol and diesel Ingenium engines, the E-Pace is also a candidate for the downsized 1.5 litre Ingenium engines when they arrive, perhaps with hybrid assistance, as well as performance versions with the new in-line six Ingeniums too.
Heading for a debut this summer, the E-Pace should be on sale by the Autumn and in the hands of customers in the UK by the end of 2017.

The Jaguar E-Pace is based off the Discovery Sport platform, and therefore can only use the Ingenium four cylinder engines due to size constraints. The upcoming inline six cylinder engines are too big in a transverse configuration.
The most powerful engine will probably be the 300 bhp turbocharged petrol Ingenium version.
