Jaguar F-Pace Configurator LIVE
The on-line configurator for the new Jaguar F-Pace is now live, but the cheapest F-Pace V6 starts at £51,450 as there’s only the range-topping S model available.
The new Jaguar F-Pace has now been officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it looks as if the package on offer is so good it’s likely to be Jaguar’s biggest seller, perhaps even at the expense of the new Jaguar XE and XF.What is a bit of a surprise is that Jaguar has taken the F-Pace down the same road as the XE and XF by only offering the top-end trim on its more powerful models, with both the 3.0 litre V6 diesel and 3.0 litre V6 supercharged petrol only available in ‘S’ trim.
That means the starting point for a V6-engined F-Pace is a not inconsiderable £54, 450 – a jump of £20k on the entry-level F-Pace Prestige with the 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel – leaving no room for those who want the power and performance of the V6 engines but want to sacrifice toys to save money. Perhaps Jaguar feel there’s no demand?
Still, there’s plenty of choice on the models that are likely to be the biggest sellers, with FWD or 4WD options and a range of trim options – Prestige, R-Sport and Portfolio – on the 2.0 litre Ingenium-engined models, with even the entry-level Prestige models coming with 18″ alloys, power tailgate, leather, Sat Nav, InControl, parking sensors and lane departure warning.
As with all online car building toys, the new Jaguar F-Pace Configurator is a great time waster, and lets you find the worst possible colour combinations as well as the most expensive model with all the standard options (we managed to get to well over £80k – and no, we didn’t tick all the boxes).
Have fun!
