Jaguar F-Pace is the moniker Jaguar Land Rover has decided to bestow on the firm’s first SUV/Crossover when it arrives as a production C-X17.

Jaguar F-Pace is the new Jaguar SUV – consider yourself teased
The Jaguar C-X17 SUV / Crossover Concept was always heading for production as Jaguar tries to cover the growing compact SUV market dominated by stuff like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 (just don’t mention Land Rover’s offerings), and now the production version has a name – the Jaguar F-Pace.
Still, once the name’s been around a while no one will think about it, and the F-Pace offers much promise with its aluminium underpinnings, decent looks, new Ingenium engines and the promise of decent grip in sticky conditions thanks to Jaguar’s All-Surface Progress Control technology.
Andy Goss, JLR’s Global Sales Director, said:
In 2015 we will celebrate Jaguar’s 80th year. We have started it by announcing our first performance crossover which we consider to be the ultimate practical sports car – a car that builds on the marque’s founding ideals of Grace, Pace and Space to become one of the most innovative Jaguars we’ve ever developed.
The F-PACE has now begun its engineering and development testing programme ahead of the new model going on sale in 2016.
So, the Jaguar F-Pace is confirmed and will arrive this time next year. For now you’ll have to guess the rest of the details and make do with just the tease photo (above) for the F-Pace.
Or you could just look at what’s under the bonnet of the XE for an idea on engines and at the photos of the C-X17 (below) for pretty much how the F-Pace will look.
