The Jaguar XE hasn’t started to hit the road in the UK yet, but it’s already stacking up to be real competition for the Mercedes C-Class and BMW 3-Series.
But cars are not all about the practicalities, they’re also about the aesthetics. And the Jaguar XE has that covered too.
The new Jaguar XE has been declared the ‘Most beautiful car of 2014’ at the Festival Automobile International in Paris, with Jaguar’s design guru, Ian Callum, picking up the award at the event in front of a crowd of 600 VIPs.
What gives the award more credibility is that it’s a public vote award, with 100,000 votes across 50 countries, and the XE took an impressive 28 per cent of the total vote beating off competition from the new Mazda MX-5, the Mercedes C-Class Estate and the Fiat 500X (which just goes to prove beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Fiat 500X? Really?).
It’s all stacking up very well for the Jaguar XE.
