The Kia Sorento – Kia’s largest SUV in the UK – adds range topping GT-Line and GT-Line S models for 2018, as well as a new eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Kia’s GT-Line models are proving to be a bit of a sales success for the Korean car maker, so now it’s rolling out the option of both GT-Line and GT-Line S Models of the Sorento for 2018.
The GT-Line Sorento costs from £36,495 and the GT-Line S from £41,995, complete with a new eight-speed automatic gearbox, which is also available on the KX-2 and KX-3 versions of the Sorento, offering improved economy (43.5mpg) and flappy paddles.
The GT-Line and Gt-Line S models both come with 19″ five-spoke alloys, stainless steel side steps, ‘Ice Cube’ fogs, red brake calipers and twin exhausts, with the GT-Line getting projection headlights and the ‘S’ bending LEDs.
Inside the new models get black leather with grey stitching, a perforated leather steering wheel and new gear shifter.
Based on the KX-2 trim, the GT-Line also gets smart key, power front seats, Lane Keep Assist, Speed Limit Info, Driver Attention warning and 7″ LCD supervision cluster, with GT-Line S adding Smart Park Assist, 360 degree camera, Adaptive Cruise, ventilated front seats, Panoramic roof, Blind Spot Detection, AEB and Harmon Kardon Sound.
The rest of the range – KX-1, KX-2 and KX-3 – remain pretty much unchanged, but they do now offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The 2018 Kia Sorento costs from £28,995 to £41,995 and is now on sale at Kia’s UK dealers.
