Land Rover Heritage Driving Experience now OPEN for business
The Land Rover Heritage Driving Experience, which gives you the opportunity to drive Classic Land Rovers, is now open for business at Fen End, West Midlands.
It was back in April that we reported the launch of Land Rover Heritage, as JLR revealed plans to offer parts for classic Land Rovers and Range Rovers, as well as a Land Rover Heritage Driving Experience so classic Land Rover lovers can go and play with JLR’s heritage models, in the same way as Jaguar do with their Heritage Driving Experiences. Now Land Rover Heritage is ready to open its doors to their driving experiences at their Fen End site in the West Midlands, with adventures on offer from as little as £40, ranging up to £250. Which doesn’t sound too terrible at all.
To be fair, the £40 only gets you a passenger ride, but £85 gets you behind the wheel of a Series I, II and III as well as a modern Defender, with £90 buying you a historic drive in either a Series Land Rover, Classic Range Rover or a butch 101 Forward Control – a British Army Transporter – both on and off-road.
For £125 you can do Range Rover ‘Then and Now’, with a Classic Range Rover and it’s modern counterpart available for on and off-road fun as well as a bit of track time (we assume only in the modern Range Rover) to see how that works.
Finally – for now at least – if you’re prepared to fork out £250 you get to play with all Land Rover’s key models – from the 1940s to the 2010s – including military stuff and expedition models.
It all sounds like a fun, potentially muddy, day out. If playing with old – and new – Land Rovers and Range owners floats your boat, you can book up – and get more information – at JLR’s Heritage Driving site.
Have fun!
