The Mercedes-Maybach S600 – an effective replacement for the defunct Maybach brand – is teased with exterior and interior photos ahead of an LA debut.
We reported last month that the new Mercedes-Maybach S600 will debut at the LA Auto Show this month and now, with its debut imminent, Mercedes is teasing the ultra luxurious Maybach S Class with the first official photos.
All we get to see of the exterior is the boot lid – complete with MAYBACH badge – but for the interior we get a full view of the Maybach S Class’s luxurious rear cabin (below).
We’re expecting the exterior of the Mercedes-Maybach to get some cosmetic tweaks – including a more stately grill – but it’s the interior that dominates the offering.
As we can see in Mercedes photo of the Maybach below, there’s a much plusher interior – looking, in many ways, like the interior of the original Maybach 57 and 62 – with much improved materials (although that won’t be easy as the S-Class has a cracking interior) and a pair of reclining, all-singing and all-dancing seats perfect for the posterior of a plutocrat.
Power will come from Mercedes’ 6.0 litre V12, which will provide all the grunt needed.
Mercedes hasn’t revealed pricing for the Mercedes-Maybach S600 yet, but when it does arrive in the UK in 2015 it’s unlikely to start at anything under £150,000.
