Mitsubishi Shogun Sport SVP Concept previews a new SVP Pack
The Mitsubishi Shogun Sport SVP Concept is revealed at the 2019 Commercial Vehicle Show, previewing a new SVP Pack for the Shogun Sport.
It took Mitsubishi a decade to bring the Shogun Sport back to the UK, but it finally arrived as a 2018 model powered by a single option of a 2.4 litre diesel with 4WD and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.A year ago Mitsubishi managed to add the Shogun Sport Commercial to their UK offerings, and now they’re going after the niche market that wants a Shogun Sport to look like a candidate for the next remake of Mad Max.
Mitsubishi Shogun Sport SVP Concept, revealed this week at the 2019 Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC, comes with makeover which includes black 18″ Predator wheels with red split rim design, BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres and big wheel arch extensions to accommodate the 40mm wider track.
Mitsubishi has also let Walkinshaw and Koni loose on the suspension which means suspension to match the wheel and tyre combo which, say Mitsubishi, results in improved off-road comfort and on-road dynamics. You also get a set of high clearance steps in black.
Other titivations include an LED light bar on the roof, PIAA driving lamps in front of the new grille, which gets red and black accents, rear spoiler, black surrounds for the lights, black bonnet badge and new decals.
Even the interior comes in for a makeover with extra bolstering for all the extreme off-roading you’ll do, special upholstery with a pattern matching the decals, red detailing and red mood lighting.
Mitsubishi say the concept previews an SVP Pack they’ll make available for the Shogun Sport later this year, and they’re looking for feedback on the concept before they decide how much of it goes in to the production version.
