The most luxurious Jaguar ever. Could this be the Jaguar XJ Coupe?

We’ve expected both Jaguar and Land Rover to reveal something new at the Beijing Motor Show.

We know Land Rover are going with (at least) the Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham Special, and now we know Jaguar are going to reveal  ‘The most luxurious Jaguar ever’ on Monday in Beijing. But what is it?

All we have to go on at the moment is the teaser video below. It’s pretty clear from the video that we’re talking about an XJ of some description, but is bolting an extra luxury pack on top of the XJ Portfolio worth a tease?

But what if this isn’t just an XJ, but a Jaguar XJ Coupe?

We’ve expected a Jaguar XJ Coupe – successor to the very appealing original Jaguar XJC – since the new XJ arrived, but even though Ian Callum penned an XJC Jaguar said it wasn’t in their plans.

But then last year Adrian Hallmark – Jaguar’s Global PR Chief – revealed Jaguar wanted to build a new XJC after all, and that it would be “…much more dynamic and emotional than a Mercedes CL.”

Or maybe we’re barking up the wrong tree?
