Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Spy Video
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera – AML’s replacement for the Aston Martin Vanquish – is caught on video testing at the Nurburgring ahead of its debut.
Just last week we got the first ‘look’ at the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera as Aston teased their replacement for the Vanquish. Although a close shot of the DBS’s Superleggera badge and an air vent probably don’t constitute an actual ‘look’.With Aston promising the new DBS will be revealed in Q2 2018, it means it can’t be more than a few weeks before we get to see the new DBS in all its glory, but you can get a pretty good idea from this video of the DBS blatting round the Nurburgring as its debut gets close.
Not too dissimilar from the new DB11, the DBS goes a bit more hardcore with a far more aggressive look than its DB sibling with a big front splitter, rear diffuser and a pair of vents in the bonnet.
Power comes from a fettled version of the new 5.2 litre V12 turbo in the DB11, and with the DB11 already sporting 600bhp you can expect the DBS to deliver at least 650bhp and probably nearer to 700bhp when it arrives, with extensive use of carbon fibre cutting its weight (and justifying the Superleggera badge).
Expect the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera to be followed next year by a Volante version.
