Ahead of a reveal at the Detroit Auto Show, BMW has released a teaser video of the new M3 and M4 showing nothing more than the outline of both cars.

New BMW M3 & M4 teased on video (M4 Concept pictured)
The new BMW M3 and M4 – effectively an M3 Coupe – are due for a debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month, and BMW are starting the tease with a new video.
The BMW M4 Concept – revealed back in August – showed us what to expect, and the production version of the M4 is unlikely to stray far from the concept.
Under the bonnet of both the new M3 and M4 you’ll find the same 3.0 litre twin-turbo petrol engine with 424bhp – 10bhp more than the old M3’s 4.0 litre – which, together with a drop in weight, should see the new ‘Ms’ scoot to 62mph in around 4.5 seconds.
Although the public debut for the new M3 and M4 is scheduled for next month, we’re expecting BMW to reveal them before that – perhaps as soon as this week – although they are not likely to be in BMW showrooms until summer 2014.
