New BMW Z4 outed in OFFICIAL photos
The new BMW Z4, BMW’s sister under the skin to the new Toyota Supra, is due to debut at Pebble Beach later this month, but we already have official photos.
Almost exactly a year ago, official photos of the new BMW Z4 in Concept guise leaked out ahead of its debut at Pebble Beach, and today the new BMW Z4 in production guise suffers exactly the same fate.A week or so away from its official reveal, the new BMW Z4 has turned up in leaked official photos (above and below), which appear to have originated from Autotijd in Belgium, and show a car that looks much as we expected.
That’s because we know what the concept looked like, and BMW has been busy delivering ‘official’ spy shots of the new Z4, although they then managed to ‘tease’ its arrival with a close-up shot of the new grille. Which seemed pretty pointless.
Still, the new Z4 looks promising, has a long bonnet and stubby tail and lots of the design features – including the new grille – we saw in the concept, just toned down a bit. It looks as it should.
The leaked images appear to be the six-pot M40i expected to have around 385bhp, but there will be lesser Z4s with four-pots too, which may, or may not, look as good as the M40i.
Don’t be surprised if BMW now officially reveal the new Z4 ahead of next week’s Pebble Beach.
