New Ford Fiesta ST gets 222bhp with Mountune M225 Kit

The Mountune M225 kit for the Mk8 Ford Fiesta ST delivers 223bhp and an App to choose performance options from your phone.

It’s hard not like what Mountune can do to a zippy Ford, managing to deliver a performance boost without the car feeling anything other than manufacturer right. And now it’s the turn of the latest Mk8 Fiesta ST to get a makeover from Mountune.

The new Fiesta ST is already a great little warm hatch – and at sensible money – but adding the Mountune M225 kit makes it a noticeable bit livelier and adds a dose of practicality too.

The Mountune kit for three-pot Fiesta ST uses induction and ECU tweaks to deliver the extra power (an additional 25bhp and 37lb/ft of torque), cutting 0-60mph to just under 6.0 seconds, and with torque arriving earlier – and across the rev range – you’ll notice the difference.

But Mountune isn’t just delivering a tweak or three you have to live with all the time (and whoever is driving) but has hooked the performance up to an App through a Bluetooth OBD interface – the  new SMARTflash system – which will let you choose to either have the full Mountune beans – with new launch and mode settings – the bog standard Ford power or you can even immobilise the car completely. Clever.
