New Lexus IS 300h Executive Edition costs £29,995
When car makers reveal a ‘Special Edition’ car, they usually like to shout that it adds extra equipment for less than it would cost you to spec a car yourself.
Lexus has taken the existing IS 300h luxury – which already has a decent spec including parking sensors, 17″ alloys, Auto lights and wipers, Cruise and Climate – and throws in two of the biggest ‘luxury’ items on the options list – Leather upholstery and Lexus Navigation.
It doesn’t just throw in leather and SatNav for no cost, but the IS 300h Executive actually costs £1,000 less than the existing Luxury trim, effectively making the IS 300h Executive £3,390 cheaper than the Luxury.
Elsewhere, the IS 300h Executive is the same as the other IS 300h models with a 2.5 litre four-pot and electric motor working together to deliver 181bhp, 64.2 mpg and just 103g/km emissions.
The Lexus IS 300h is a good car – and a decent buy too if you pay BIK – and the extra equipment for less money make it a no–brainer of a buy.
