New Mitsubishi L200 Pick-up goes on sale in the UK
The new Mitsubishi L200 Pick-up – revealed last year in Thailand as the Mitsubishi Triton – goes on sale in the UK priced from £25,775.
A heavily revised version of Mitsubishi’s rufty-tufty L200 Pick-up arrived last year as Mitsubishi unveiled it in Thailand, where it’s know as the Mitsubishi Triton. But now the Triton arrives in the UK and becomes the new L200, with a thorough update to make it look, particularly in double-cab trim, like an SUV that just happens to have a load bed. Perfect BIK-gamer territory.
But despite expectations that Mitsubishi would probably only deliver double cab versions to the UK, they’re not; you can have a workhorse 4Life Club Cab model with steel wheels costing from £21,515 (plus VAT), but even it gets Keyless, Air Con and Bluetooth. It can also be had as a double cab version though, at £22,715.
But apart from the entry-level L200 which will probably do some actual work, the rest of the range comes with a double cab, with Warrior trim coming with 18″ alloys, LED headlights, auto lights and wipes, reversing camera, touchscreen infotainment and lane departure. It costs £31,617.
Higher up the L200 trim scale is the familiar Barbarian trim which adds an auto ‘box, 360 camera, Blind Spot, Cross Traffic, LED Fogs, parking sensors and heated steering wheel. It starts at £38,577.
All the new L200 models come with a 148bhp 2.3 litre diesel with 296lb/ft of torque, a payload of 1080kg and towing capacity of 3500kg.
The new Mitsubishi L200 Pick-up is now on sale in the UK.
